Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations

Started in 2001, the Dot NAME universal top-level domain name extension is the only one intended for personal websites only. These domains can be personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other titles people are famous by. At the beginning, only 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you wanted to register john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already acquired third-level domain names remained online.

Through our firm, you can order your dot NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will be able to alter the WHOIS contact info, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an active domain to our company if you get its EPP transfer key from the present registration service provider and we will renew it after the transfer has been completed. There are no particular restrictions on who can get a .NAME domain, but in order to maintain the idea behind its establishment alive, the Registry may check who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration might be challenged.
